Launched in December 2020, Mauritius Personal Access (or MauPass) allows users to access hundreds of government services easily and securely online.

You should register with your National Identity Card and you should be 15 years and above to be able to register.

Enter Surname at birth instead of Surname if you are below 18 years or you do not have the new (biometeric) National Identity Card.

For non-citizen of Mauritius, you can register with Passport number but you can only benefit the e-service- Application for learner’s License.

 
  • To register on Maupass, go to https://maupass.govmu.org/Account/PreRegister.
  • Enter all personal details as per your National Identity Card (NIC), including accents and special characters, for example: ( é è ê ë î ï à â ç ô ü ).
  • For married women only: The “Surname at Birth” is required to be filled.
  • For Male: The “Surname at Birth” field is not required to be filled.
  • Upon successfully registration, the Maupass activation link will be mailed to the email address associated to your Maupass account. Therefore, the email address used should be authentic.
  • Verify your email account and follow the steps to activate your Maupass account.
  • More than one account cannot be created with the same National Identity Card (NIC).

  • To recover your password, go to https://maupass.govmu.org/Account/ForgotPassword.
  • Enter your email address or mobile number and then click on submit.
  • Verify your email account or SMS received on your mobile phone depending on the options chosen to reset your password.

• log on to https://maupass.govmu.org/.
• Log in to your account and click on My Profile.
• Proceed to Edit My Profile.
• Update information for your town/village and zip code.
• Click Save and the information will be updated.

Note: You should know your username and password of your Maupass account to be able to change your email address through the feature “Edit My Profile” on the Maupass platform.

• log on to https://maupass.govmu.org/.
• Log in to your account and click on My Profile.
• Proceed to ‘Edit My Profile’.
• Update your email address.
• Click Save and the information will be updated.

Note: You will not be able to change your mobile number on the Maupass platform if your Two Factor Authentication (2FA) has already been activated. In that case, you will have to proceed to the post office for the amendment of your mobile number. Otherwise you may follow the below steps.

• log on to https://maupass.govmu.org/.
• Log in to your account and click on My Profile.
• Proceed to ‘Edit My Profile’.
• Update the mobile number.
• Click Save and the information will be updated.

  • Please be informed that your account will unlock after thirty minutes.

Mokloud (to download copies of birth and marriage certificates)- https://mokloud.govmu.org.

Please note that you can activate your Two Factor Authentication(2FA) by yourself through the Maupass App or you can proceed to the Post office.

 Instructions: 

  •     Download the App on Playstore/ Huawei App Gallery or App store.
  •     Open the Maupass App.
  •     Select-Activate 2FA through eKYC.
  •     Log in with the username and password of your Maupass account.
  •     Follow the steps to activate your 2FA.

Note:

  • You have only two attempts to complete the activation through the App. In case of failure you will have to proceed to the nearest Post Office with your National Identity Card to activate your 2FA.
  • To enable 2FA for the Mauritian applicants who are residing abroad, a virtual eKYC can be conducted. Please click here to open a ticket for further assistance.

Note: You will not be able to change your email address through the option ‘edit my profile’ found on the Maupass platform if your account has not yet been activated.
